I hope the one available truthful book of modern history wasn't really eaten by bugs. What is the truth about professor Onswald? Where is Cassiel? Maybe with president Wintersea or Ezra? Mildway is probably with Ezra. What happened to the other wundersmiths born? Are they still out there or did Ezra kill them all? Why did he choose Morrigan? does he perhaps need her to fight President Wintersea? How can President Wintersea control Ezra Squall? What power does she have?
Maybe the people in it are supposed to kill the object of the safeguard if they get out of control? Or ban them from Nevermoor like Ezra Squall was? Israfel for example could control Morrigan with his music, except he wouldn't do it because he's secretly indebted to Morrigan Hawthorne is also a member of Unit 919 in the Wundrous Society.
